Non-Standard Reclasses

So you say you are a minotaurs warrior but you have a love for the forest? You want to become a ranger and learn the ways of the woodland creatures but you're unable to because the gods do not know you well enough to allow you to break the mold that your race is cast with? Well I am here today to tell you that there is hope for you yet. If your class allows the reclass and only your race restricts you from it, you can work around that restriction and achieve your goal. All it takes is a willingness to role-play and a little time. Following is a list of what you must do to earn the right to defy your race and go that one step beyond.

1.) Possibly the most important step. You must let us in the RP department know that you intend to pursue the nonstandard reclass. "How do I do that, oh wise and wonderful teacher", you ask? Well I am glad you asked, and with such respect too. The answer is simple. Send a note to the immortal staff with emphasis on RP. Do this by typing the following:  NOTE TO IMM (RP)
Then simply inform us in the note that you are pursuing a special non standard reclass and what the reclass is. It would help if you also told us what race and class you currently were.

2) Role-Play. Role-Play. Role-Play. You must build a background story of what could possibly make you, the character, want to break free of the oppressive bonds of your race to achieve something normally not achievable. You must live that story in all your in-character actions and conversations.

3) Document. You must document your background and your Role-Play in the form of story notes. We cannot watch you all the time so these story notes may be the only way we know that you are deserving of the reclass. The story notes must at least be addressed to imm (rp) but can be to all if you wish. They should closely follow your characters life so we can see if you are consistent and justifiably ready for the reclass.

4) Patience. Some times it takes a while before we truly feel you have paid your dues enough and stayed consistent enough on the right path before we are ready to give it the seal of approval. Sometimes, if your character is a little better known and we already know of your RP, it may move faster. If you feel you are being ignored (heaven forbid) a friendly note that you posted a story note regarding your non standard reclass would be most helpful, in case we missed it.

Now, things that cannot happen no matter what your RP is. Due to game mechanics, you cannot reclass to a reclass that does not go with your current class, regardless of your race. For example, a warrior reclassed assassin would be brutal to say the least. it won't happen, so do not ask. You also cannot reclass to clan restricted reclasses, if you are not of that clan and the appropriate class. For instance, a knighthood mage, cannot become a paladin, nor can a wargar cleric! Non standard reclasses are basically reclasses that your class could normally obtain but your race cannot. That is it. Anyway, if you have questions about it, contact any member of the RP Department.
