The Church of Austinian

When the High God created the land, Austinian became one of its protectors, the champion of everything good and pure. Like Kwainin and Necrucifer, he was thought to be eternal, never born and never able to die. Legends show him as a young man with long brown hair braided down his back and kind eyes the silver of starlight. Prophets say that when he enters the realm, the good and innocent of the world perform far beyond their abilities; the farmer Proleit swore his fields never grew so well as the season Austinian graced them.

His devoted wife Taliena bore him two sons and two daughters: Kantilles, Nadrik, Siccara and Kadiya. Together, as a family, they make up the Sphere of Goodness.

When the gods agreed to send one god of each pantheon against Malachive, Austinian and Necrucifer were made to choose each other's children. Necrucifer chose Kadiya, and Austinian chose Devion. Devion murdered her, and the God War began.

As Evil gained ground, Austinian twisted a bar of steel into a Steel Dragon and sent it to fight for the Light. From a light drawn out of his own heart he made Azbogah, the Arch Angel, to lead the faithful on Algoron. When Necrucifer loosed his champions upon the world, Austinian met his brother in the skies, and their duel crashed into a frozen lake on Icewall, where Raije took them both captive and bound them in prisons among the stars until mortals set them free.

On the black moon he offered his own life for Nadrik's freedom and an end to the war. Necrucifer refused and ordered Nadrik's death, and Siccara died in her brother's place. Austinian has lost two daughters, and though Necrucifer was his enemy, he mourns the loss of a brother.
