Born of Necrucifer and Drakkara, Fatale is perhaps the most dangerous god in the heavens. He won his place by posing as a mortal and slaughtering a temple of Austinian along with all the faithful inside. His weapon is the dagger, though he blesses every kind of weapon, tainting each with his evil blood, and his followers are among the most devoted and skilled of any faith.

When he appears he is courteous and charming, beguiling the weak-willed with his wit; his cropped black hair and piercing blue eyes hold audiences as he spins tales of murder and revenge. He often appears with his brother Devion, and their pranks on mortalkind draw laughter and applause from the dark heavens.

When Kadiya died and the God War began, Fatale awoke the vampires, and the kingdom of Abaddon rose to rebuild in his name. Necrucifer set him to watch over Devion, for all knew Devion could not kill Nadrik alone. When Nadrik came among Drakkara's brown dragon eggs, Fatale, Dragoth and Mencius fell upon him together; even as Fatale's scythe cut through Nadrik's hand, Nadrik tore it from him and struck the God of Murder a blow he would not soon forget.

In the race for the Shards of Seanan, Fatale and Devion cornered Archion, a being made from a lock of Nadrik's hair and given life by Taliena. Rather than surrender the shard he carried, Archion shattered it into hundreds of pieces, and Fatale took his head.

Under Drakkara's rule Fatale has fallen from favor. His followers are at odds, he has failed to slaughter the demons that still rise for Necrucifer, and his mother has whispered that perhaps he is the lesser son. She has told him to channel the rage of his dead brother Mencius and salt the realm with the blood of all who oppose her.

The Priesthood

Priests devote their lives to the service of their god, teaching the holy (or unholy) gospel and converting others to the faith. Every church is organized in ranks, and each rank brings more power. A priest who meets a rank's requirements may petition their god for promotion; the gods watch their priests throughout their lives, from their duties to their prayers (and gprays) to the notes they write on matters affecting the faithful, and judge their worth by what they see.
