Religions of Algoron › The Gods of Good › Taliena
With beauty to match Zandreya's, Taliena is the devoted wife of Austinian. She was born of the rising sun and sent to this world to share the warmth and happiness the day brings; her smile alone is said to cheer the unhappiest soul. She is pictured with flowing platinum hair and deep blue eyes, all grace and splendor.
Taliena intervenes in mortal affairs, especially troubles between husband and wife, and has cheered many outside her own faith. She longs to see love and happiness fill the world, and the day-to-day bloodshed come to an end.
No goddess has suffered more in the God War. Her daughter Kadiya was murdered by Devion, and her son Nadrik was held and tortured on the black moon for nearly a decade. She begged to go to him, saying she would rather die with Nadrik than let Evil have him. When the Gods of Good finally stormed the moon, Siccara died saving her brother, and Taliena carried Nadrik home.
Now she grieves among the marble statues of her two daughters, and tends a son who has withdrawn into himself in anger and blame. She has asked why the mortal realm prays for the return of Necrucifer, but not for her daughters.
No angels serve Taliena in Algoron at present.

Priests devote their lives to the service of their god, teaching the holy (or unholy) gospel and converting others to the faith. Every church is organized in ranks, and each rank brings more power. A priest who meets a rank's requirements may petition their god for promotion; the gods watch their priests throughout their lives, from their duties to their prayers (and gprays) to the notes they write on matters affecting the faithful, and judge their worth by what they see.
